Basilica Dome with Lamp
Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, PA. Like many religious buildings, this place was filled with a sense of quiet reverence, and was also a cool refuge from the warm day outside. The Basilica sits on the east side of Logan Square and was built in 1864. I spent some time sitting and contemplating the space, and then decided to capture the apse (the big dome) that's decorated in the stye of the Italian Renaissance.
