Desert Grass 1

Sparse desert grass growing on the dusty plains of Joshua Tree National Park. A joshua tree can be seen in the background on the left. It was a hot dusty day when this photo was taken. I felt like I had to take a photo of these tough little plants that find a way to stay alive out there. I was attracted to this composition because I felt it emphasized the wispy and almost glowing tendrils of frayed leaves that were kept in constant motion by the dry wind.
