The August 21st, 2017 Solar Eclipse, as seen from northern Kansas. This image shows the totality of the eclipse -- the moment when the sun is completely occluded by the moon. This image shows the sun's corona and, if you look closely, some magenta-colored prominences on right and bottom. I also colorized it a little to compensate for the mylar filter I used. The mylar tends to show very white light, but I just preferred a warmer tone for my images.
